Iain Birrell

Iain Birrell has been an Executive Council Member at The Industrial Law Society since April 2017. Prior to this, Iain held various positions at Thompsons Solicitors, including Trade Union Law Group, National Practice Lead, Unit Manager of the Employment Rights Unit, and Regional Head of Employment for the North of England. With experience dating back to 1996 at Atherton Godfrey as a Partner, Iain's expertise in employment law has been acknowledged during their time at The Law Society as a member of the Employment Law Committee. Education-wise, Iain completed their Bachelor of Laws at the University of Hull and received their Law Society Finals at the College of Law.
