John Murray

John joined Thorn in February 2021 as Head of Group Credit Risk. John is an experience leader with a deep understanding of the risk management environment. He has held leadership positions at bank and non-bank financial institutions. In such positions, John has developed policies to help drive business outcomes, monitored and managed emerging risks, and led teams providing credit support across a range of simple and complex financial products in the institutional, corporate, business banking and consumer segments.

John has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and Post Graduate Diplomas from the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA) and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
