Varun Haritsa's work experience includes working as a Perception Software Engineer at Thoro.ai starting from March 2023. Before that, they were a Perception Engineer - II at IAM Robotics from May 2022 to March 2023, where they worked on various projects related to local path planning for robots in a warehouse, localization and mapping stack improvement, and multi-resolution LIDAR scan matching. Varun Haritsa completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a university where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University from 2018 to 2020.
