Enrique Díaz Delgado

Enrique Delatorre is a Quality Line Support Engineer at Abbott since July 2022, where responsibilities include providing quality engineering support to manufacturing and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Prior to this role, Enrique served as a Project Manager at UCI Samueli School of Engineering, leading a collaboration with Ossur Americas to innovate orthotics testing devices, and worked as a Research & Development Engineer on a redesign of the vaginal speculum during the transition of a senior design project into a startup. Enrique also has experience as an Undergraduate Researcher, focusing on wheelchair headrest design and manufacturing. Additionally, Enrique held the position of Safety Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach from January 2013 to July 2022. Academically, Enrique achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from UC Irvine, as well as multiple associate degrees from Irvine Valley College in Mathematics, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
