Claire Sheppard

Claire Sheppard has extensive work experience in the racing industry. Claire started their career in 1995 as the Sales and Service Manager for Tote Direct and remained in that role until 2002. Claire then joined Musselburgh Racecourse as the Commercial Manager in 2003, where they stayed until 2008. In 2008, they became the Chief Executive of Plumpton Racecourse and held that position until 2013. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at the Racecourse Association Limited, initially as a Racing Executive and later as the Racing Director. In 2017, they joined THE THOROUGHBRED BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION as the Chief Executive Officer.

Claire Sheppard obtained their BA degree in Modern History, Economic History, and Politics from Royal Holloway College, University of London. Claire pursued their education from 1990 to 1993.
