Kailey Metcalfe

Kailey Metcalfe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kailey began their career in 2009 at School House, a family business focused on connecting educators and parents with learning materials. During their time there, they witnessed the company's growth, including the acquisition of an in-house bookstore, expansion into e-commerce and social media networks, and the organization of professional workshops for educators.

In 2012, Kailey joined the Canadian Red Cross as a Training Facilitator, assisting vulnerable individuals affected by emergencies and gaining experience in local, provincial, and out-of-province deployments. Kailey also worked as an Emergency Management Caseworker, conducting needs assessments and delivering services.

Next, Kailey joined the Ministry of Technology, Innovation & Citizens' Services in 2009, where they contributed to Information Management Services and participated in Provincial Education Projects on a seasonal/part-time basis.

In 2015, Kailey joined Trade & Invest BC, Ministry of International Trade as an Information Officer, supporting international missions and corporate events. Kailey served as the main contact for the BC business delegation during the Premier's Trade Mission to Korea, Philippines, and Japan. Kailey created web content, developed briefing materials, and provided logistical support. Kailey also worked as a Program Assistant, supporting trade missions to China and Vietnam and handling financial administration and contracts for BC Trade & Investment offices.

Currently, Kailey is working at ThoughtExchange. Kailey started as a Professional Services Manager & Facilitator in 2016 and progressed to roles such as Team Lead for Professional Services, Senior Customer Success Manager, and Account Manager. Kailey'scurrent position is Team Lead, Customer Success (Education Partnerships).

Kailey Metcalfe obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations & Human Geography from The University of British Columbia from 2007 to 2012. In 2012-2013, they pursued continuing studies in the French language at the University of Victoria. Before that, they studied French language and culture at L'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi until 2011. Prior to their university education, Kailey received their BC High School Dogwood Diploma from St. Michaels University School.
