Mike Acker

Mike Acker is an experienced writer and editor with a diverse background in arts, entertainment, and eCommerce content. Currently serving as a Senior Editor and Writer at Thread since May 2016, Mike specializes in editing ecommerce copy for clients. Previously, Mike contributed as a Freelance Arts and Entertainment Writer for The Oregonian / OregonLive.com, focusing on the Portland comedy scene from August 2016 to December 2022. Additional roles include Comedy Listings Writer and Freelance Contributor at Willamette Week, Web Content Editor at Kroger, and Freelance Blazer Correspondent for Willamette Week. With a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Portland State University, Mike has a strong educational foundation complementing extensive professional writing experience.
