Joanna Pomykala has extensive experience in mental health and social services, currently serving as a NEIT Student Counselor at Thrive Behavioral Health since October 2014, where responsibilities include providing mental health interventions and support to students. Additional roles include Family Support Specialist, Clinician, and Emergency Services Clinician with the State of Rhode Island from March 2021 to August 2022, focusing on service planning and assessment of children's safety and family needs. Previous experience includes positions as a Behavioral Therapist at Bay Coast Behavioral, a Therapist at Newport County Community Mental Health Center, and various roles at Youth Continuum, Families In Crisis, and Migrator Theater among others. Joanna holds a master's degree in cross-cultural psychology and sociology from Uniwersytet SWPS and a CGS in Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College.
