Karla Venegas

Karla Venegas is a dedicated professional with a strong background in community engagement and mentoring programs. Currently serving as the Community Engagement Manager at Thrive Scholars since December 2022, Karla has previously held positions such as Career Program Specialist at The Posse Foundation and Assistant Manager of Workplace Mentoring at the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston. In the latter role, Karla developed and implemented mentoring programs, managed partnerships, and trained interns while supporting the growth of young girls. Karla's earlier experiences include leadership roles at City Year Los Angeles and City Year Greater Boston, where Karla focused on providing academic and social-emotional support to students. Karla holds a degree from the University of La Verne, where valuable foundational skills were developed through various assistant roles.
