Asal then worked as a Communication Manager in the United States Department of Defense, conducting research to gather intelligence in Kuwait and Bahrain. Asal also served as a Senior Technical Analyst at the U.S. Department of State, managing a team to assess threats using open-source intelligence techniques. Asal furthered their career as a Program Manager at the United States Department of Defense, leading the development of the Army's IT Strategy document and aligning efforts with CIO-led initiatives.

Asal's expertise in risk intelligence led their to work as a Risk Intelligence Project Manager at Airbnb, where they developed and launched a fraud risk escalation framework. Asal then joined MGM Resorts International as a Program Manager, conducting deep dives to identify trends and optimize customer targeting models.
