George Holderness

George Holderness is a Lead Data Scientist at Thumbtack since September 2018. Previously, George conducted research for an honors thesis at Stanford University during the 2017-2018 academic year, focusing on long-run evidence related to laws addressing America's opioid crisis, which earned the Anna Laura Myers Prize for an Outstanding Honors Thesis. Prior experience includes a Data Science Intern position at Carta and a Research Assistant role at Stanford's Economics Department under Professor Mark Duggan. George Holderness holds a B.A. with Honors and Distinction in Economics from Stanford University and graduated from Belmont Hill School in 2014.
