Angelica Mejia

Angelica Mejia, CPA, MAcc, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Senior Finance Officer at Thunder Bay District Health Unit since July 2023. In addition to this role, Angelica is also a Contract Instructor for the Introduction to Accounting course at Lakehead University since September 2022. Previously, Angelica worked as a Consultant in Budget & Data Quality at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, overseeing budget processes and conducting internal audits. Prior positions included various roles at BDO Canada, including Senior and Intermediate Staff Accountant, as well as internships and entry-level positions in accounting at organizations such as Lakehead Public Schools and Walmart. Angelica holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and advanced degrees in Accounting from Carleton University and Lakehead University, complemented by an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from Confederation College.
