Chetna Chandrakala

Chetna Chandrakala, CPA joined Thundermist in October 2022.

Most recently, Chetna served as Chief Financial Officer of Villa of Hope, an organization focused on individuals, families and communities, helping them rebuild relationships, recover potential, and renew hope for the future.

Chetna has been instrumental in successfully leading Villa’s financial strategies during these unprecedented few years, managed a high-performing finance and information technology team, led the implementation of a new electronic health record system, improved operating systems, and secured and sustained federal funding. Prior to Villa, Chetna was the Senior Vice President of Finance & Compliance for GRIPA and Cognisight for 13 years, an accountable care organization helping provide high-quality and high value of care. Chetna has had key responsibilities for financial reporting, tax, audit, management reporting, compliance, employee payroll and benefits, client contracts and agreements. Chetna has over 25 years of experience in the field of Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Legal and Compliance across different countries and industries ranging from manufacturing, trading, power plants, insurance and healthcare.

Chetna is passionate about Community Service and very involved in the Greater Rochester community through various affiliations, board memberships. She likes to help organizations by leveraging the intellectual capital of Indian American community and help foster the cultural connections between the world’s largest democracies. Chetna Loves to mentor the young generation, encourage establishing connections and create their network. Chetna has also served on panels focused on Finance in Healthcare, DEIB and other motivational talks for local organizations.

Chetna was a recipient of PTSA Lifetime Membership award in 2015 and Honoree of Rochester Business Journal Women of Excellence Awards in 2019.

She currently lives in Pittsford, NY with her husband and plans to relocate to Rhode Island to be closer to her daughter who is a lawyer in Boston.
