Annette Small

Annette Small is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Engineering Manager for Central Workshops at Thungela since November 2021. Annette's career includes significant roles at Anglo American Coal from March 2015 to May 2023, where responsibilities encompassed managing all Capital and Ad Hoc Projects and Reliability Maintenance Systems at Landau Colliery. Prior positions held within Anglo American companies include Engineering Manager, Reliability and Projects Engineer, and various engineering roles focused on diesel machines and plant operations. Annette began their career in 2007 as an Underground Shaft Engineer at Anglo American Thermal Coal, subsequently advancing to Plant & Surface Engineer. Annette holds a BIng Engineering degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical from the University of Pretoria and a GCC Certificate for Mechanical & Electrical Plant & Law from DMR South Africa.
