Ryan Africa has extensive experience in finance and strategic management across various industries, currently serving as Head of Operational Finance and Head of Investor Relations and Strategic Projects at Thungela since June 2021. Prior roles include Operational Planning Manager and Business Optimisation Manager at Anglo American, as well as Corporate Strategy Manager at Distell. Ryan began professional career as an Auditor at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Notable achievements include leading the successful $1.5 billion sale of Brazilian Niobium and Phosphates businesses and developing strategic initiatives for a business unit with revenues of $690 million. Ryan holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town.
