Michael Hurlbert

Michael Hurlbert has extensive experience in development and finance, currently serving as Associate Vice President for Major Gifts and Planned Giving at Thurgood Marshall College Fund since January 2018. Previously, Michael held various roles at Modern Woodmen of America from September 2015 to July 2024, including Financial Representative. Prior to this, Michael was Vice President at First Bank from January 2003 to June 2014 and held several positions with the Boy Scouts of America, including Director of Development for the Central North Carolina Council and Borough Scout Executive for the Greater New York Councils. Michael's early career included roles such as Senior Finance Director and Field Director at the National Capital Area Council and Boy Scouts of America, respectively. Michael earned a B.A. in Speech-Communication from North Carolina State University and graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in 1980.
