Andrew Castillo has over 10 years of professional experience. In 2021, they began working as the Director of Payer Operations for Thyme Care. From 2009-2011, they were a Media Center Technician at Vanderbilt University School of Engineering, where they served as the intermediary between students and IT professionals regarding laptop hardware issues, installed technological presentation equipment and lecture tools, and provided administrative support for the School of Engineering's daily operations. In 2011, they were a Development Intern at Primeros Pasos Clinic, where they created a strategic plan for building a network of organizational partnerships, conducted a cost-benefit analysis of medications purchased, and fostered support from international stakeholders. In 2010, they were a Foundation Intern at San Antonio Independent School District, where they ensured educational funding through various state grant proposals, approved internal requests for use of the grant budget, and completed a manual standardizing the use of grant funds. In 2009, they were a Human Resources Associate at Standard Aero, where they conducted an internal audit to ensure that the hiring process was in line with current affirmative action procedures and standards, presented recommended changes regarding the hiring process, and processed and presented talent management data.
Andrew Castillo obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Human & Organizational Development, Health and Human Services from Vanderbilt University in 2012. In 2014, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster certification from the Scrum Alliance.
