Janet Reimer

Janet Reimer has worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. Janet began their career in 1987 as a Registered Nurse at Johns Hopkins Medicine. In 1991, they moved to UF Health as a Case Manager/Interim Clinical Coordinator. Janet then worked as a Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor at UF Health Cancer Center from 1992 to 2000. From 2000 to 2011, they were a Clinical Trials Coordinator at Wayne Radiation Oncology Ctr. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Patient Care Coordinator at Community Home Care & Hospice. Since 2012, they have been a Nurse Navigator at Vidant Medical Center, where they assist patients and families with access to multimodality treatment for head and neck/GU malignancies, identifies and eliminates barriers to care, provides educational resources and psychosocial support, and coordinates biweekly multidisciplinary tumor board conferences. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Thyme Care Nurse at Thyme Care.

Janet Reimer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Adult Health Nurse/Nursing from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing between 1985 and 1987. Prior to that, they attended University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1983 to 1985 for Pre-Nursing Studies. In 1992, they were awarded the Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. Janet also holds a North Carolina Registered Nurse License from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
