Nick Kastango

Nick Kastango has over 12 years of professional experience in data science, operations research engineering, and analytics. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Data Scientist at Thyme Care. From 2018-2022, they were a Lead Instructor in Data Analytics at General Assembly. From 2010-2018, they worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in various roles, including Associate Director of Operations Research Engineering, Data Science Manager of Strategy & Innovation, Operations Research Engineer of Strategy & Innovation, and Data Scientist of Strategy & Innovation. From 2009-2010, they were a Research Scholar in Performance Improvement & Management Engineering at Lehigh Valley Health Network. In 2008, they were a Presidential Intern in IT Process Integration at the American Red Cross, where they created a suite of tools for standards monitoring and audit management and received Six Sigma Green Belt certification for a project to revamp the internal blood donor recruitment process.

Nick Kastango completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Integrated Business and Engineering from Lehigh University in 2010. Nick then attended Columbia Engineering, graduating in 2017 with a Master of Science in Operations Research.
