William Gibson

Senior Experimentalist at Tibbar Plasma Technologies

Dr. Gibson is a 13-year veteran of Los Alamos National Laboratory, working first in the Nuclear Materials Technology Division as a software engineer and later as lead architect and software engineer for the Integrated Knowledge Engine (IKE), an advanced decision analysis tool which performed Bayesian Analysis, Evidence Marshalling, Optimal Asset Allocation, Assessment, and Accomplishment Trending.

Prior to working at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Dr. Gibson worked at various aerospace companies, including Martin Marietta Astronautics Group, McDonnell Douglas, and NASA’s Johnson Space Center. At Tibbar Tech, Dr. Gibson has been responsible for the construction of the new Shiner machine and day-to-day lab operations. He holds a Ph.D in Mathematical Analysis from the University of Houston and both B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
