Kumar Ashok

Kumar Ashok has a strong background in QA automation and test engineering. Kumar joined Tide in 2019 and currently holds the position of Engineer - 5 (QA Automation Lead). In this role, they are responsible for leading the QA automation team and developing UI test automation strategies and architectures for mobile and web applications. Kumar has also contributed to the development of an enterprise test automation framework.

Prior to their current role, Kumar worked at Wipro Limited from 2014 to 2019. During their time there, they held multiple job titles, including Senior SDET and Automation Architect. Kumar worked on enhancing the existing enterprise test automation framework to meet the requirements of the applications being tested. Kumar also integrated automation assets into the Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.

Before Wipro Limited, Kumar worked at Cognizant from 2006 to 2014. Kumar served in multiple job titles, including Project QA Lead. Kumar developed a data-driven test automation framework for QTP (now UFT) and implemented automation test suites using QTP and VBA.

Overall, Kumar Ashok has extensive experience in QA automation, test engineering, and developing test automation frameworks.

Kumar Ashok completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from BIT Mesra Student-Industry Relations Cell, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended D.A.V. Kapil Dev Public School in Kadru, Ranchi, from 1999 to 2001, where they pursued Senior Secondary education with a focus on Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics).

In addition to their formal education, Kumar Ashok also obtained several certifications. In 2021, they became a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance. In 2013, they obtained the ISTQB / ASTQB certification from the ISTQB CERTIFICATION INSTITUTE. Furthermore, in 2009, they passed the LTCP Exam 1 conducted by AIHP, and in 2008, they successfully completed the DB2 UDB 8.1 EXAM 700 offered by IBM.
