Will Johnson

Will Johnson, MBA, CHCIO has a comprehensive work experience in the field of information technology and management. Will currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at Tidelands Health. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Director of IT Strategy, Governance, and Execution at Cone Health. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing various operational activities of the technology office. Will also has experience as the Director of IT Strategy, Governance, and Project Management at Texas Health Resources and as the Senior Director of the Enterprise PMO/Interim COO at American Healthtech. Additionally, they served as the Deputy CIO of IT Strategy, Application Services, and PMO at the U.S. Department of Education, where they led a major organizational improvement program. Furthermore, Will held the position of Director of IT Strategy and Governance and Application Development of Core Business Applications at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where they established and managed the agency's first Project Management Office. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager of Enterprise PMO at Capital One, where they played a key role in transforming the organization from a credit card company to a full-service bank. With their extensive experience in IT strategy, governance, project management, and leadership roles, Will Johnson brings a wealth of expertise to their current position as Chief Information Officer.

Will Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, obtained from 1992 to 1996. Will later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategic Management and Marketing at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, completing it from 2006 to 2008. Will Johnson also has various certifications, including being a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) from CHIME, a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems from HIMSS, among others.
