Cecilia Mkondiwa has extensive experience in various roles within the Women's Enterprise Centre, starting in 1998 as a Senior Business Advisor and later transitioning to Manager of Loans and Operations. Cecilia then became the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Director of Program Delivery at the Women's Enterprise Centre from 2013 to 2019. Cecilia also served as an Executive in Residence and Chief Operating Officer at the Women's Enterprise Centre of BC, where they managed various programs and services. Mkondiwa has also held positions at TideRise Technologies as Vice President of Operations and at Synergy on Boards Consulting Group as a Partner. Notably, they were recognized as one of BC's Most Influential Women in Finance by BC Business Magazine.
Cecilia Mkondiwa completed their education with a High School Diploma from Providence Secondary School, Mulanje in 1985. Cecilia then pursued a Secretarial Cert from Malawi Polytechnic between 1985 and 1987. In 1992, they graduated with a BBA in Accounting, Marketing, and Economics from Mount Saint Vincent University. In 1998, they obtained an MBA in Accounting from Simon Fraser University.
