Shinichiro Okazaki has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2008, they began their career at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as an Associate for the Environmental Policy Division. Shinichiro then transitioned to Assistant Director for the Asia and Pacific Trade Policy Division in 2010. In 2011, they joined the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy as the Deputy Director for the Nuclear Energy Policy Division, where they played a key role in planning strategies for restarting nuclear plants after the earthquake and tsunami.
Returning to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2013, Okazaki assumed the role of Deputy Director for the Economic & Industrial Policy Division, where they led projects related to Japan's economic growth strategy. Shinichiro later became the Deputy Director for the Bio-industry and Healthcare Service Industry Division, leading a team focused on building a sustainable healthcare system and fostering regenerative medicine development in Japan.
In 2017, Okazaki was promoted to the Principal Deputy Director for the Healthcare Industries Division, a position they held until August 2019. During this time, they also took on the role of Fellow at the Salzburg Global Seminar, further expanding their expertise. Most recently, in September 2019, Okazaki joined Tier IV, Inc. as the Vice President of the Business Division.
Shinichiro Okazaki obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Kyoto University from 2003 to 2008. Later, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management.
