Sabareeswar Shankar

Sabareeswar Shankar has worked in various roles in the IT industry since 2011. In 2011, they were a Network Engineer Intern at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, where they gained knowledge on PSTN architecture, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols such as OSPF and EIGRP. In 2013, they were a System Engineer at Infosys, where they worked with onsite clients and offshore stakeholders to gather requirements on a daily basis. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Santander Consumer USA as a Test Specialist and QA Engineer I, where they worked with business, scrum masters, and project managers to gather functional and non-functional requirements for performance and manual testing of Santander's projects. Since 2019, they have been a QA Engineer and QA Engineer 3 at Sophos. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Software Engineer In Test at Tigera, where they work to secure, observe, and troubleshoot containers, Kubernetes, and cloud.

Sabareeswar Shankar completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University between 2009 and 2013. Sabareeswar then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University at Buffalo between 2014 and 2016. In addition to their educational qualifications, Sabareeswar has obtained certifications from LinkedIn and Udemy, such as Git Essential Training: The Basics, Git Intermediate Techniques, Python Automation and Testing, API Testing Foundations, Learning Kubernetes, Running Kubernetes on AWS (EKS), CI/CD with Jenkins pipeline and Groovy DSL, Getting started with Jenkins, Learning Docker, and System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services. Sabareeswar also holds the Cisco Certified Network Associate - Routing and Switching certification from Cisco, obtained in December 2015.
