Shane Walsh began their career in 2008 as a Sales Agent/Team Leader for UK/IE Market (Trend Micro Reseller Campaign) and a Team Lead Inbound Sales at Ecom Interaction. In 2011, they joined VMware as a Business Development Representative Emea, where they proactively promoted VMware products and product vision, generating new business pipeline. Shane reported to UK & IE Marketing teams on marketing activities to improve on marketing Campaigns and effectively communicated sales strategies to internal Partner Managers and field Partner Managers. In 2015, they moved to VMware's PSC-Partner Enablement role, where they enabled and empowered Enterprise/Professional partners to increase revenue streams. In 2016, they joined Trend Micro as an Inside Regional Account Manager, where they worked within a team of 11 developing business within an assigned territory with emphasis on revenue generation to new customers and upsell/cross sell to existing customers. Finally, in 2021, they joined Tigera as a Corporate Account Executive, where they are responsible for delivering Calico Cloud, the next-generation cloud service for Kubernetes security and observability.

Shane Walsh obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Management & Marketing from Munster Technological University between 2003 and 2007. In 2014, they also obtained a VMware Sales Professional (VSP 5.5) certification from VMware.
