Tanjila Islam

Tanjila Islam has extensive experience in the areas of business development and trade promotion. Tanjila began their career in 2002 as an Associate in the Asia Region of Chemonics International, where they conducted the start-up of a $132 million USAID-funded Rebuilding Agricultural Markets in Afghanistan Program (RAMP). In 2006, they moved to Banyan Global as Director of Business Development, where they developed and provided technical assistance to private sector development and trade promotion programs in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. In 2008, they became Director of the AgFair, Accelerating Sustainable Agriculture Program at USAID, where they were responsible for organization and management of international agricultural trade fairs in Kabul and Kunduz, Afghanistan. In 2014, they joined the Fashion Institute of Technology as an Adjunct Professor. In 2016, they became an Advisory Board Member at BWG Strategy LLC. In 2018, they founded and became CEO of TradeFlo, an end-to-end blockchain-powered trade facilitation and financing platform. Additionally, they are the CEO/Founder of TigerTrade's excess inventory platform, REDDS.

Tanjila Islam has a diverse educational background. Tanjila holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia | SIPA, a Master of Arts in Near Eastern Studies from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Middle Eastern & Asian Languages & Cultures from Columbia College, Columbia University.
