Iris Liu

Iris Liu is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in developing machine learning models and data analytics. Currently serving as a Sr. Data Scientist at TikTok since November 2024, Iris previously held the position of Lead Data Scientist at BlueVine, focusing on real-time machine learning models to enhance profitability in factoring deals. Iris has also contributed significantly at Deserve, where the first machine learning model led to a notable increase in customer growth. Prior roles include Sr. Quantitative Analyst at Bank of the West, where credit risk models were monitored, and Senior Research Associate at Econ One Research, specializing in risk modeling for residential mortgage-backed securities. Iris holds a PhD in Economics from McGill University, where research involved employing machine learning to predict economic crises. Educational background also includes physics studies at the University of Rhode Island and Beijing Normal University.
