James Liu

James Liu, SPHR, serves as the Head of HR for Lifecycle Operations in the Americas at TikTok since 2020, playing a crucial role in supporting the platform's mission of inspiring creativity and providing enriching experiences. Additionally, James co-founded the PRIDE Employee Resource Group at ByteDance and has held leadership positions at Corsair and NZXT, where James focused on human resources and people operations. James's prior experience includes legal roles at prestigious firms such as Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and Kirkland & Ellis. Educationally, James holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Boston College Law School, an Executive Program degree in Strategic Human Resources Leadership from Cornell University ILR School, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Government, as well as Theatre, from UC San Diego.
