Jeremy Gao currently serves as the Head of Data Science for the Ecommerce Product at TikTok, overseeing multiple data science teams focused on various aspects including EMEA, sellers and partners, creator affiliate programs, and merchandise since April 2023. Prior to this role, Jeremy held several key positions at Kuaishou Technology from June 2020 to March 2023, including Head of Data Science for Global Ads and Director of Data Science for Creation and Content Recommendation, tackling challenges like the cold start problem and content diversity. Additionally, Jeremy worked at DiDi as a Data Science Manager, where responsibilities included developing an open-source machine learning tool, and as a Data Scientist, focusing on rider growth and marketplace dynamics. Earlier experience includes roles at Financial Engines as a Senior Analyst, at NetApp as a Product Analytics Manager, and at Securian Financial as a Quantitative Analyst. Jeremy holds an MBA in Business Analytics from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.
