MacArena Gándara

Macarena Gándara is a Localization Quality Manager at TikTok since April 2021, overseeing localization experience and language quality for America and South West Europe, while also ensuring the quality of various ByteDance products. Previously, Macarena served as a Spanish Language Manager, developing strategies for Spanish-language localization and collaborating with teams to integrate Spanish content. Prior experience includes working as a Spanish Translator at DJI, where localization and editing of marketing and technical materials were performed for numerous product launches, and freelance work specializing in localization and translation across various sectors. Macarena holds a Master’s Degree in Multimedia Translation and a combined BA and Master’s in Translation and Interpreting from Universidade de Vigo, along with a degree in LEA from the University of South Brittany.
