Feike Steenbergen

Feike Steenbergen has been working as a Database Engineer since 2002. Feike started as a Technical Coach and Support Engineer at Hewlett-Packard in 2002. In 2008, they moved to work as a DBA at Ordina, where they implemented backup strategies using rman and managed Oracle DataGuard and Oracle RAC. In 2013, they worked as a PostgreSQL dba at the Ministerie van Economische Zaken, where they designed and implemented monitoring extensions for monitoring PostgreSQL using Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control and provided technical training in PostgreSQL. In 2016, they worked as a Database Engineer at bol.com, followed by a Database Engineer role at Adyen in 2017. Currently, they work as a Database Engineer at TimescaleDB, where they work inside a team that ensures PostgreSQL is available to customers using Kubernetes. Feike also likes to teach things around PostgreSQL operation and on how to fully use SQL.

Feike Steenbergen has been studying Philosophy at the University of Groningen since 2009. In 2014, they obtained an Oracle Certified Professional certification from Oracle.
