Gayathri Priyalakshmi

Gayathri Priyalakshmi has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Gayathri began their career at Oracle in 1999 as a Member Technical staff and worked there until 2002. Gayathri then joined Bloomberg as a Software developer in 2004 and stayed there until 2006. Following this, Gayathri joined Netezza, an IBM company, as a Senior Software Engineer from 2006 to 2011. Gayathri then returned to Oracle in 2013 as a Principal Software Engineer, where they focused on developing machine learning frameworks and algorithms. Gayathri worked on projects such as implementing a scalable random forest algorithm and improving the decision tree algorithm. Gayathri continued working at Oracle until 2017. Currently, Gayathri holds the position of Staff Software Engineer at Timescale, starting in December 2018.

Gayathri Priyalakshmi obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Madras. Gayathri then went on to pursue a Masters degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, which they completed from 2002 to 2004. In addition, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in May 2014.
