Adriaan Van Horenbeek has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. In 2009, they began working as a Post-Doctoral Researcher and PhD Researcher at KU Leuven. In 2014, they became an Asset Management Consultant at Stork Technical Services. From 2015-2020, they worked as a Manufacturing Lead Customer Advisory Benelux and Pre-sales Analytics at SAS Belgium & Luxembourg. In 2020, they became a Manufacturing Lead Customer Advisory Western Europe at SAS. Currently, they are the Director Customer Success and Pre-Sales at Timeseer.AI, a time-series Data Operations (DataOps) software company. Throughout their career, they have provided high value to manufacturing companies through the use of advanced analytics, implemented lean, six sigma and reliability projects, and developed innovative asset performance solutions. Adriaan has also published more than 25 papers, presented more than 20 papers on international conferences, and coached and guided three junior researchers.

Adriaan Van Horenbeek has an extensive educational background. Adriaan obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Master in Industrial Management from KU Leuven in 2009 and a Master in Electromechanics from Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven in 2008. Adriaan also holds a Certificate in Digital Transformation Leadership - Take the Lead from Vlerick Business School, obtained in 2019. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, such as the Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption from INSEAD in 2022, the Social Selling Program from Just Connecting - LinkedIn & Social Selling Training HUB in 2021, Developing Emerging Leaders from INSEAD in 2021, Smart Manufacturing: Moving From Static to Dynamic Manufacturing Operations from MIT Professional Education in 2019, and VCA-VOL from Provinciaal Veiligheidsinstituut van Antwerpen (PVI) in 2014.
