Jess W.

Jess W. has a diverse work experience in the field of IT security and cybersecurity. They began their career as a Senior Cryptologic Linguist in the US Army from 2010 to 2015. After that, they worked as a Help Desk Support Specialist at Kforce Inc from 2015 to 2016. From 2016 to 2017, they served as an Application Support Specialist at Consultis of San Antonio, Inc. They then worked as a Network Monitoring Analyst at Apex Systems for a few months in 2017. Later in the same year, they joined Boecore, Inc. as an Information Systems Security Engineer I/II until 2019. In 2019, they worked as an Information Systems Security Officer at Apogee Engineering, LLC. From 2019 to 2021, they held the positions of Cyber Security Engineer and Information System Security Engineer III at Boecore, Inc. They then joined LinQuest in 2021 as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer II and worked until 2023. Currently, they are employed as an IT Security Lead at TimkenSteel Corporation, where they are responsible for monitoring and improving security operations, developing policies, and leading cyber security projects.

Jess W. obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian Languages and Literatures from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. They then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and Planning from The University of Toledo. Jess later pursued a Master's of Science degree in Cyber Operations from Utica University.

In addition to their formal education, Jess W. has several certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) from EC-Council, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator from Palo Alto Networks, Network+ ce from CompTIA, and Security+ ce, also from CompTIA.
