Lauri Orkoneva

Lauri Orkoneva has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Lauri is currently the Co-Founder and COO of Timma, a company that provides on-demand booking services in the hair and beauty industry. Prior to this role, Lauri was also a Co-Founder and Software Developer at Timma, where they played a key role in developing their calendar and cashier software as a service for industry professionals, as well as their last-minute booking platform for consumers.

In addition to their work at Timma, Lauri has also served as a Board Member at Orfer Oy/Inc., a company specializing in packaging and palletizing automation. Lauri joined the company in 2021.

Lauri's previous experience includes working as a Research Assistant at Aalto University School of Science and Technology, where they focused on service engineering and management research. Lauri has also worked as a Main Assistant/Lecturer at Aalto University, where they taught courses on tools for digital media, including web page development, flash animation, image processing, and layout building.

Before their time at Aalto University, Lauri gained experience as a Dataadministration Trainee at Orfer Oy and as an Assistant at Aalto University, where they were responsible for teaching and grading courses on Adobe CS programs and multimedia presentation.

Prior to their professional career, Lauri was an Entrepreneur at Huoneistohotelli Villa Aino, a family company where they worked on various tasks, including maintaining apartments, receiving customers, and focusing on marketing and home pages. Lauri was with the company from 2007 to 2009.

Lauri Orkoneva completed their high school education at Kaurialan lukio from 2004 to 2007, earning a high school diploma. Lauri then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Information Networks: Knowledge Intensive Business (Dept. of Industrial Engineering and Management) at Aalto University from 2008 to 2011. Following that, Lauri Orkoneva obtained a Master's degree in the same field and from the same university's School of Science and Technology from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they pursued further studies at Aalto University and obtained another Master's degree in Information Networks: Knowledge Intensive Business (Dept. of Industrial Engineering and Management) from 2012 to 2016. In 2012, they briefly attended DTU - Technical University of Denmark for a Master's degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.
