Harold Alexander Jimenez Torres

Harold Alexander Jimenez Torres has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering. Harold Alexander started their career as an Auxiliar de ingeniería at Ingeniería de Bombas Equipos y Suministros S.A.S., where they were involved in installing hydraulic pumps and executing sanitary networks. After that, they worked as an Ingeniero diseño de reforzamiento de estructuras at Técnicas Colombianas de Ingeniería, where they focused on reinforcing structures that did not comply with seismic resistance standards.

Following this, Harold worked as an Ingeniero residente de obra at Inversiones y Construcciones R.E Ingenieros, overseeing the construction and execution of infrastructure projects. Harold Alexander then served as an Ingeniero civil residente de obra Administrativo y ejecución en obra at AC Diseños y Construcciones SAS (ACDC SAS), where they played a crucial role in executing the construction of the Kr 13 shopping center's foundation.

Next in their career, Harold joined RJ Solar Ingenieria as a Construction Site Manager, responsible for directing and executing various solar projects in Japan. Subsequently, they worked as a Civil Engineer at China Harbour Engineering Company LTDA, providing oversight and interventoría during the construction process of tunnel projects.

From there, Harold moved on to WSP, where they held the position of Ingeniero Civil de Soporte Diseño de Estructuras. In this role, they were involved in developing the structural design for the Bogotá metro project, focusing on the design, analysis, and collaboration for the structural development of 15 metro stations.

Currently, Harold works at Timmons Group as a Civil Project Engineer, specializing in the infrastructure of energy projects. In their role, they utilize Civil 3D to create alignments, corridors, and feature lines for civil grading and roadway models. Harold Alexander also performs hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, prepares engineering design plans, and collaborates with the engineering team.

Throughout their career, Harold has demonstrated a strong understanding of civil engineering design principles, such as utility, grading/earthwork, drainage, access road design, and erosion and sedimentation control. Harold Alexander has also utilized their expertise in stormwater management, green infrastructure, and low impact development principles. With their extensive experience in both residential and commercial projects, Harold has shown great competence in project management, site supervision, and coordination of construction activities.

Harold Alexander Jimenez Torres pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting in 2011. From 2011 to 2016, they attended Universidad Militar Nueva Granada where they earned a degree in Ingeniería civil, specializing in civil engineering. Moving forward, they enrolled at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in 2017 and completed their studies in 2018. During this time, they obtained a degree in Ingles with a focus on foreign languages and literature. In 2020, they received specialized training in SAP2000 and ETABS Estructuras Metálicas at Spectra Inge, expanding their knowledge in Metal Structures.
