Kelli Friedman has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to 2021. Kelli began their career as a Safari Cadet at the Chapin Recreation Commission in 2000. Kelli then worked as a Tutor for University Instructors in 2006, followed by a Third Grade Teacher at Fairfield County School District in 2008. In 2009, they became a Substitute Teacher at School District 5 of Lexington and Richland Counties. In 2012, they began working as a School Library Media Specialist at Berkeley County School District. In 2018, they took on roles as an English Second Language Tutor at VIPKid and a Mom at The Pregnancy Pause. In 2020, they became an Independent Consultant at Educational Development Corporation / Usborne Books & More. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Tinkergarten Leader.

Kelli Friedman obtained an Associate of Arts from Midlands Technical College from 2001 to 2004. Kelli then attended Charleston Southern University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a BS in Elementary Education. In May 2008, they obtained an Elementary Educator certification from the SC Department of Education. Kelli then attended the University of South Carolina from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a Masters in Library and Information Science. In January 2012, they obtained a Media Specialist certification from the SC Department of Education.
