Eric Cooney

Eric Cooney is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across technology and media sectors. Cooney founded Tiptana, LLC in 2015, focusing on angel and early-stage venture capital investments in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector. Previous positions include serving as President and CEO of The Switch, where oversight involved a global platform for live video production, and restructuring Snell Advanced Media, which was sold to Belden after achieving significant growth. Cooney has also held the position of President and CEO at Internap, leading the company through a transformational phase that created substantial enterprise value, and oversaw the integration of Tandberg Television into Ericsson's Multimedia Business Unit. Additionally, Cooney's early career included various leadership roles in News Corporation and service as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. Cooney holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from USC Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from the University of Rochester.
