Panji Gautama has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Mobile Application Developer at PT Buana Media Teknologi, where they developed and launched mobile apps for Android and Blackberry. Panji also trained and mentored peer-programmers and contributed to the development of API services.
In 2012, Panji joined Qajoo Studio as a Game Programmer, where they implemented game logic and integrated third-party libraries. Panji worked with various game engines and programming languages.
From 2013 to 2014, Panji co-founded Oninyon and acted as a Co-Founder and Tech Lead. Panji played a key role in project management and actively participated in both mobile application and web development.
Panji then joined Kudo - PT Kudo Teknologi Indonesia in 2014 as an Android Engineer, Lead. Panji eventually became the Head of Front End Engineer, VP Engineering, and CTO until October 2019, when Grab acquired Kudo. After the acquisition, Panji served as the Head of Engineering at Grab, overseeing the GrabKios/Kudo team.
In 2017, Panji was seconded to OVO (PT Visionet Internasional) as the Head of Engineering, VP. Panji led multiple engineering organizations and was responsible for improving people management and engineering practices.
In 2020, Panji joined Mekari as the SVP Engineering, acting as the CTO and leading the engineering team. Panji played a crucial role in scaling and managing the team across multiple countries.
Since 2020, Panji has also been working as a Tech Advisor and Fractional CTO for various startups.
Currently, Panji is working as the CTO at TipTip, focusing on accelerating the creative economy ecosystem in Indonesia, building products, and growing a talented team.
Panji Gautama completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, specializing in Data Mining and Market Basket Analysis, at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) from 2006 to 2011. Panji then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science, with a focus on Data Mining and Social Network Analysis, at the same institution from 2012 to 2014.
In 2022, Panji Gautama enrolled in an Executive Education program at Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science, where they studied Computer Science. Panji also pursued a Mini MBA in Business Administration and Management, with a General specialization, at Institut Teknologi Bandung from 2022 to 2023.
In addition to their formal education, Panji Gautama obtained certifications in various fields. In September 2022, they completed the "Fundamentals of Software Engineering" course offered by Emeritus. Furthermore, in September 2020, they obtained a certification in the "PowerMBA" program from ThePowerMBA.
