Tácia Liguori, DVM, PhD has extensive work experience in various roles within the veterinary and research fields. Starting in 2013, they worked as an Undergraduate Trainee at Animaniacs' Veterinary Hospital, where they gained experience in internal medicine, surgery, and intensive care for small animals. In 2014, they worked as a Veterinarian at All Care Veterinary Hospital and Paes de Barros Veterinary Hospital. Tácia also served as a Professional Trainee at the University of São Paulo (USP), School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science.

In 2016, Tácia joined the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) as a PhD Researcher, focusing on cardiovascular regenerative medicine as a part of the CAVAREM Research Group. Tácia then moved on to InCor - HCFMUSP in 2017, where they worked as a PhD Researcher in the Laboratory for Tissue Engineering and Organ Fabrication. During this time, they contributed to important research projects in the field.

Most recently, Tácia took on the role of Chief Scientific Officer/Chief of Staff at TissueLabs in 2020. In this position, they utilize their extensive knowledge and experience to lead the scientific direction of the company. Throughout their career, Tácia has shown a strong commitment to veterinary medicine and research, making significant contributions to the field.

Tácia Liguori pursued their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from 2009 to 2013 at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. After completing their DVM, they went on to pursue two separate Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. From 2016 to 2020, they attended USP - Universidade de São Paulo for their first PhD in Cardiovascular Surgery. Simultaneously, they also studied at the University of Groningen during the same period, focusing on Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine for their second PhD.
