Rod Makin

Rod Makin has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Rod is currently working as the Senior Director of CDA Design, Development & Product Management at Titan.ium Platform, LLC since December 2022. In this role, they lead a team of solution designers and software developers to deliver quality Customer Defined Applications (CDA) that differentiate customers from their rivals. Rod also serves as the Product Manager for the CDA product, providing sales collateral, training, and support to fully realize its unique selling points for customers.

Before joining Titan.ium Platform, LLC, Rod served as the Head of Product Lifecycle Management at NetNumber from March 2021 to November 2022. Rod managed the entire product range, provided strategic oversight, and led a team of Product Managers and a Technical Publications team. During their tenure, they played a key role in transforming the company narrative from an engineering-driven organization to one directed by the input of Product Managers and the Sales Team.

Prior to that, Rod held various roles at NetNumber, including Solution Design Engineering - Group Manager from June 2016 to March 2021, Solution Design Engineering - Regional Manager (AsiaPac & Middle East) in January 2016, and Solution Design & Pre-Sales Engineer from November 2013 to January 2016. In these roles, they led teams of highly talented solution design engineers and provided telecom solutions to customers.

Rod's earlier work experience includes serving as a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer at Opencloud from January 2011 to November 2013, Solutions Consultant at Convergys from August 2008 to January 2011, Solutions Consultant and Senior Product Verification & Deployment Engineer at Intervoice from November 2000 to August 2008, Technical Support at Radan Computational from November 1997 to November 2000, Technical Support Engineer at GMAS in July 1997, and Graduate Engineer at Spectus Window Systems from 1993 to 1997.

Rod Makin attended Bolton School from 1987 to 1989, although no degree or field of study was specified during this time. Rod then went on to study Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Vehicle Dynamics at the University of Leeds from 1989 to 1993.
