Tony Abou-Assaleh has a long and varied career in the technology industry. Tony began their professional career in 2002 as the Founder of EITS.ca, a company specializing in custom application development, data acquisition and analysis software, e-commerce, and web applications. In 2004, they became a Lecturer at Dalhousie University and continued in this role until 2005. In 2005, they also became a Lecturer at Brock University. From 2006 to 2011, they held various positions at GenieKnows Inc., including Vice President of Technology and Director of Research and Development. In 2011, they became a Software Engineer at Google and then President and CEO of TitanFile Inc., a platform for securely exchanging messages and large and sensitive files with clients, experts, and partners. In 2013, they became an Advisor for Canada Cloud Network and Planet Hatch, a center for accelerating, colliding, and fusing resources to help build startups and early stage companies. In the same year, they became a Member of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University.
Tony Abou-Assaleh obtained their B.Sc. in Computer Science - Software Engineering Stream from Brock University in 2000, followed by an M.Math. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in 2002, and then a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Dalhousie University in 2008.
