Emiel Hassefras

Emiel Hassefras is a Scientist Innovator at TNO since April 2021, previously serving as an Early Stage Researcher at MARUM - Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, University of Bremen, where research focused on pore pressure effects on submarine landslides. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Student at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, conducting a Master's thesis on concrete characterization using ultrasound. Additional roles included supporting non-destructive testing in civil engineering and data acquisition for seismic analysis. Emiel Hassefras holds multiple degrees in Applied Geophysics from institutions including RWTH Aachen University and Delft University of Technology, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Earth Sciences. Early professional experiences also encompass teaching, tutoring, and mentorship.
