Jan Kroon

Jan Kroon is a highly experienced professional specializing in solar energy research and development. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at TNO since April 2018, Jan is responsible for acquiring R&D projects related to solar energy through various (inter)national subsidy programs. Prior to this role, Jan worked as a Project Manager and Senior Scientist at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) from September 1996 to March 2018. Jan also held a position as a Post-doctoral Researcher at Wageningen Agricultural University, where a pioneering study in low-cost solar cell development was executed. Jan's academic foundation includes a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam (1987-1992) and a Drs. degree in Chemistry from the same university (1983-1987). Early education was completed at St. Michael College, Zaandam (1977-1983).
