Pieter Piscaer is a Computer Vision Researcher at TNO since March 2021, focusing on diverse research projects related to 3D reconstruction, image enhancement, visual inspection, and adaptive optics. Prior to this role, Pieter completed a PhD at TU Delft from September 2016 to February 2021, with a dissertation on "High-resolution focal-plane wavefront sensing for time-varying aberrations," specializing in adaptive optics algorithms for astronomy. Pieter also served as a PhD Council member, advocating for the needs of the PhD community at the university. Earlier, Pieter was involved in the Honours Programme Delft as a board member, promoting excellence among top students. Pieter holds a Master's Degree in Systems & Control and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, along with a Gymnasium diploma from SSG Nehalennia Middelburg.
