Adriana Escamilla

Adriana Escamilla is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in academic leadership and literacy instruction. Currently serving as Senior Manager - Academics, ELA at TNTP since August 2022, Escamilla previously held positions including Literacy Coach at Putnam Avenue Upper School and Dean of Curriculum and Instruction at Up Academy Charter School of Boston. Other notable roles include Founding Humanities School Director at 9th Grade Academy and Reading/Composition Teacher at Golder College Prep. Escamilla began their career as a Founding Reading and Writing Teacher at Galapagos Charter School. Academically, Escamilla earned a Master’s Degree in Literacy, Language, and Culture from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Michigan State University.
