Mehdi El Gueddari

Mehdi El Gueddari is an accomplished Principal Engineer in fintech at Toast since September 2023, with significant experience in software engineering across various prominent organizations. Previously, Mehdi served as the Director of Software Engineering at GSK, leading the AI/ML UX Engineering team and overseeing developments in drug discovery technologies. Earlier roles include Principal Software Engineer at GSK, where Mehdi was the tech lead for the global e-commerce system and helped build a fully automated cloud platform on Google Cloud Platform. Mehdi also contributed to Salesforce's Marketing Cloud as a Principal Software Engineer, collaborating on technical strategy and leading initiatives like Ad Studio’s micro-service project. Other notable experiences include being a co-founder and CTO at Shhmooze, technical lead on a BBC co-production app, and senior development roles at Citi and various startups. Mehdi holds a Master of Science in Software Development, Networks, and Operating Systems from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rennes.
