Senior Play Designer at Toca Boca

Petter Karlsson has a diverse range of work experience. Petter started their career as a Communications Operator in the Royal Swedish Navy, both during their military service and later as a civilian. After that, they worked as a Game Designer at Lubit Creative Solutions, specializing in designing serious and advergames. Petter then transitioned to the entertainment industry, working as a Production Assistant and later as a Producer at the Emmy award-winning production firm, The Company P.

Petter also worked in Swedish production companies, SocialVideo Production and Falkevik & Danehav AB, where they focused on online video production, including live streaming of conferences and events. Petter further expanded their skills in video production as a Live Manager at TwentyThree, where they worked on implementing livestreaming functionality for the video CMS 23 Video.

Petter's passion for interactive entertainment led him to co-found LajvVerkstaden, a company that designs and organizes live roleplaying events as a cultural and educational tool.

Currently, Petter is working at Toca Boca, an award-winning kids app series company, where they have held various roles. Petter started as a Play Designer, responsible for content design, play testing, and user experience for multiple Toca Life apps. Petter later advanced to the position of Senior Play Designer, where they led the content design and play testing efforts. Petter is currently working as the Lead Content Play Designer for Toca Life World, which was awarded the Apple App Store iPhone app of the year in 2021. Throughout their tenure at Toca Boca, Petter has been actively involved in promoting diversity and inclusion within the company's work.

Petter Karlsson's education history is as follows:

- From 1993 to 1999, Petter attended Rönnbyskolan, where they completed their primary and middle school education.

- From 1999 to 2001, they attended Gideonsbergsskolan for their high school education.
