Owen Huisenga

Owen Huisenga is an experienced professional in virtual design and construction, currently serving as Design Phase Manager and Virtual Design + Construction Manager at TOCCI since August 2016. In this role, Owen coordinates efforts between architects, planning, cost engineering, and operations, managing digital coordination processes and implementing innovative VDC deliverables tailored to each project. Previously, Owen held the position of Sr. VDC Engineer at Gilbane Building Company, overseeing the VDC process for projects totaling over $900 million and 2.5 million square feet. Earlier career experience includes roles as an Intern Architect at Draw Architecture Ltd and Dewberry, where Owen contributed to various project types and facilitated the shift from 2D CAD to 3D BIM. Owen holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago.
